White Embossed Elegant Flower

01:57

I just love the effect when using white embossing powder and making an image appear so it looks like the image literally unfolds in front of you as you colour it in.

I first heat embossed my stamped image from the Elegant Flower's stampset on a water colour cardstock. I find water colour cardstock works best when using gelatos and an aqua brush as don't want the cardstock to pill as I layer my colours on.

I used the Inspired By Stamping Fancy Labels Dies #2 to create a faux layer by keeping the metal die on as I sponged inwards with my Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool and the Antique Linen Distress Ink.

The bow I folded in half so the width of the ribbon would be thinner. This is a great tip to use if you don't want your bow to over power the stamped image but still have an embellishment on your card.

Inspired By Stamping have a great monthly blog challenge each to always enter in with fantastic prizes to be one. This month's blog challenge has a great sketch where I have based my card layout from. There are 3 inspirational pieces to choose from so check out the colour combo and photo inspo. I encourage you to play along and have some stamping fun.

Happy stamping!
